  • MD Anderson's Sprint for Life, Registration Opens December 11, 2023

The 27th Annual Sprint for Life 5K and Sprint for Sprouts Kids' Run will take place in the The Medical Center near MD Anderson campus on May 4, 2024. Online registration will open December 11, 2023. Complimentary registration for the first 100 ovarian cancer survivors and one caregiver. Please contact the Sprint for Life office for more information at gynonccommunityrelations@mdanderson.org.

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from gynecologic cancers, according to the National Cancer Institute. Unfortunately, because there is no screening or early detection test available and ovarian cancer symptoms are subtle, only about 25% of ovarian tumors are detected before they have progressed to an advanced stage. On Race Day, survivors, their families and friends, businesses and MD Anderson employees come together to achieve two goals: raise funds for research and increase awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms.
