  Preface title

The Action Plan on Skin Cancer for the State of Texas is an initiative funded by the Texas Cancer Council and administered by The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. The Action Plan Steering Committee included health care practitioners operating in the public and private sector, educators, prevention specialists, public information specialists, and members of volunteer health agencies. The resultant plan reflects the willingness of Committee members to share their expertise, their concerns, and their time to develop a meaningful Action Plan that can be instrumental in reducing the rate of skin cancer in the state of Texas.
